See every task in the office

Office tasks shows every task in the office on one page, not only yours. It is in the Work menu, under My Tasks, and only owners and admins see it. A member who opens the link sees a note that the page is for owners and admins.

Next to the title, choose:

Option What is shown
Open Every task not yet finished, and the ones finished since the start of the week.
Done Finished tasks, the latest first. Show older tasks adds earlier ones.

At the other end of the row, choose how to group them: by Assignee, Client, Status, or No grouping. Your choice is saved for you, also on another computer. Under the title, switch between List and Calendar.

  1. Type in the Search tasks… box to find a task by its title, description, client, or assignee.
  2. Select Filter to narrow by assignee, client, project, work type, due date, status, priority, or contact.
  3. Select a number in the row of numbers (All open, Today, Overdue, This week, Waiting for client, Done this week) to see only its tasks.
  4. Select a column heading to sort by it. The columns menu shows, hides, and reorders them.

Selecting a task opens it next to the list. New task opens an empty task, and + next to a person’s or client’s name opens a task already assigned to them.

On the dashboard, in the whole-office view:

  • In the Office tasks card, All office tasks opens the page.
  • In the Tasks card at the top, All tasks opens it.
  • Selecting a number (for example Overdue) opens a short list, and Open in office tasks opens the page already filtered to those tasks.

A private task opens only for the people taking part in it. While the setting Owners and admins see all tasks is off, the page counts private tasks you do not take part in (you did not create them, they are not yours, you do not follow them, and you are not in their project) but does not show them, and says how many there are. Only owners can turn the setting on, under Settings > General.

Check the active filters, the search, and any selected number. A task finished before the start of the week appears only under Done. A private task you do not take part in is shown only when the setting above is on. In an office with many tasks the page keeps loading them in the background, and after a few thousand Load more appears.
