Inspect an account
Link to section: Inspect an accountOpen General ledger, select an account, and choose the period. Review the movements behind the balance rather than checking only the total.
Drafts and posted entries
Link to section: Drafts and posted entriesDrafts can be reviewed before posting. Posting records the entry in the books and requires the accounting checks to pass.
Posted entries are corrected through the permitted reversal flow rather than rewriting the original. A reversal records an offsetting entry and preserves the history. Ask the responsible bookkeeper to handle it.
Locked or closed periods can block changes. Review the period status before trying again.
